Weekly Topic – Disability and Design (Assistive Technology)

Processing/Arduino Hands-on: Bouncing multiple balls | concept of “class” in creative coding

HW:

1) Build online documentation platform for weekly assignments. See MIT’s HowToMake(Almost)Anything course.

2) Obtain The Nature of Code eBook | http://natureofcode.com

3) Weekly Making: Make something new based on the weekly hands-on workshop

4) Do a research on Weekly topic and share interesting findings (e.g. innovative/creative/critical design solution/exploration related to disability issues).

*The plan is to open the Course WordPress for archive during week 1. Details will be announced during class

 

19 January

WEEK TWO

Each student will give a presentation of the weekly making assignment through his or her online site.

Each student briefly presents his/her findings/readings related to the Weekly Topic.

Processing/Arduino Hands-on: Using Servo Motors & DC Motors

Weekly topic: e-waste

HW:

1) Weekly Making: Make something new based on the weekly hands-on workshop

2) Do a research on Weekly topic and share interesting findings (e.g. innovative/creative/critical design solution/exploration related to disability issues).
