Kate Dunagan – Super insulated clothing

Stanford professors and a grad student are working on producing clothing woven with silver nanowire will help reduce indoor energy use by reflecting back your own body heat and retaining 80% of that heat. Cloth is dipped in a silver chemical solution which provides amazing insulating qualities. Energy from batteries can be conducted through the clothing to add heat when necessary. The goal is to provide personal warmth and, ultimately, potentially lower the worlds energy consumption by reducing indoor heating needs.  See more
